Windows HPC Server 2008 announced
The third consecutive edition, and the year of the Ukrainian launch of Windows HPC Server 2008 with an academic programme for universities.
USTAR and Microsoft announced a programme for the academic sector: universities gained access to Windows HPC Server 2008. A major vendor in the programme meant the conference was now read as a national venue.
The edition went ahead despite a hard year for the IT market: Russia’s gas war against Ukraine and the global financial crisis. Academic talks stayed alongside the vendor ones — a balance the conference kept to its final year.
